FINDER: Torch

Here.

I’ve told you that I’m loving Carla Speed McNeil’s FINDER graphic novels.

She’s offering on her website a draft of sorts of an older pre-pre-quel sort of thingie that she’s re-vamping for future publication…I think. Anyway, it’s not going to be around for long.

It’s titled TORCH.

(tell me that you’re not curious about those dino creatures.)

“I was young then. Young enough that what I can’t remember, I took from dreams.”

McNeil can really convey a sense of scale between one panel and the next. This always strikes me. On page one, we’re seeing a huge horizon, crossed by some small dusty travelers. On page two, there are hundreds, thousands of travelers. The relative sizes of the travelers and the horizon has inversed.

Note that the next page turner button is directly below the frame that contains the art panel.

Go ahead… Enter.
